Overall design was created on canvas of clear glass and designed with powder glass and various other glass piece sizes. Piece was created using my layer / fire, repeat process to develop the colors, visual depth and texture - working both sides of the glass. Each petal of the iris was hand "painted" with glass powders to develop the texture and colors. The petals started as clear glass and were transformed into vibrant petals that replicate nature.
