About The Artist:

As a glass artist, my passion is to create glass designs with visual depth and texture that celebrates the unique character of glass and captures experiences from my travels. 

The layering aspect of "Layered Glass" begins with a blank sheet of glass, much like a painter’s canvas.  I then build layers using techniques such as: glass agglomeration, fritography, and pallet-knife painting – kiln firing between each layer to achieve visual depth and develop the rich colors.  Additional depth is added in the thoughtful selection of various colors, shapes, and sizes of glass.  A typical piece undergoes four kiln firings before completion.

Using a combination of these unique layering and texturizing processes developed during 25 years of experience,  my initial sketches are transformed into eye catching lifelike designs.
