Giants

Color burst from this Colorado Fall Aspen piece.  The trees, branches and leaves flow from one piece to the next, inviting you to stroll within the scene.  

Giants started off on a canvas of clear sheet glass, then using my layering process both sides of the glass had various sizes of glass fit and powder added to create visual depth and texture.  Each layer was created then fired and repeated - starting with the smallest tree background and working forward.  As your room light changes throughout the day so will the colors and illusion of Giants - from the brightness of the morning sun glistening on leaves to the dark mystery of a setting sun.  This is the beauty of working on a canvas of clear glass.  Giants measures 27" wide x 36" tall and stands off the wall by 3".  Each individual section is approximately 8 1/4" by 36".
